Regina King delivered yet another award-worthy performance on season two of ABC's "American Crime." This time around, she played Terri LaCroix an elitist wife, mother and career woman who stopped at nothing to protect her son. 

In advance of the DVD release -- season two wrapped in March -- here's a look back at the fun and edifying interview King did with podcast host and TV critic Mekeisha Madden Toby. As for King, chances are she'll get a second Emmy nod for her turn as Terri. King won her first Emmy for her heartbreaking role as Aaliyah in the drama's inaugural season.

It’s March which means we’re two months away from wrapping up the 2015-16 TV season – for some shows anyway. Of course, “The Walking Dead” ends its sixth season Sunday April 3 on AMC while the miniseries “The People vs. OJ Simpson”has two more thrilling episodes to go on FX. Meanwhile “Underground,” which airs Wednesday nights on WGN, follows the exciting story of enslaved Black people running away to freedom.

And then there are shows like “American Horror Story: Hotel” that are wrapping up in wild and strange ways. For at least two seasons now some of us – including host Mekeisha Madden Toby  – have been hoping and praying the writers would make Michonne and Rick a couple but that dream is dead for the most part now that Rick is all booed up with Jessie. (Boo!) But that doesn't mean Michonne isn't arguably one of the strongest female characters on TV and one of the most complex African-American characters, made all the more so because of the brilliant woman playing her, Danai Gurira.

Recently, Gurira penned the powerful play “Eclipsed,” which stars Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o and heads to Broadway in February. Meanwhile, the sixth and current season of “The Walking Dead,” which Mekeisha listed as the second best show of 2015 on HitFix’s annual critics’ poll, also returns in February.

Morris Chestnut is the truth. He's talented enough, he's handsome enough and doggone it, people like him. This fall he's costarring in the number one movie in America -- "The Perfect Guy" -- and he's helming the Fox drama "Rosewood." The procedural series feels like "Bones" and "Castle" and has potential. 

Chestnut plays Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr., a brilliant pathologist with a short time to live and long list of ways to smartly solve crimes and flirt with his beautiful partner Det. Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz). 

Will you watch? "Rosewood" is paired with season two of "Empire" so that will make you tune in, right? Come on. Show MC some love. He's been in the biz nearly 25 years. "Rosewood" debuts Wednesday Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
